One of the best things to have is that one person and that one relationship that makes themselves available any time we need someone to listen. It is that best friend who always answers when you call. Knows exactly what to say and when to say it. Knows how to comfort and act in times of need. According to the Webster dictionary the definition of Adopt is to take by choice into a relationship; especially: to take voluntarily (a child of other parents) as one’s own child! God loves us, he chose us, and he adopted us into his family. God’s family has perks, through His son we have redemption and a God given purpose.

Having a personal spiritual revival starts with prayer and engaging with God’s word. The Psalmist includes both of these concepts in this passage. He asks God to revive him and to give him life. He declares how he loves God’s word. He asks God to revive him according to God’s loving Kindness. He declares God’s word is truth and everlasting!
